RECYCLING: A DAILY CARE

For many years, TRAVYL® has collected and recycled scrap materials from production for several of its customers and always provides this service when economically possible.

All products processed by TRAVYL® are recyclable.

To reduce our environmental impact wherever the solution is economically relevant, we offer to collect our regular customers packaging (chucks, pallets ...) for reuse.

The recent modernization of the grinding plant in 2009 has allowed TRAVYL ® to increase its performance and grinding capacity.

THE EVOLUTION OF FORMULATIONS TO INTEGRATE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRAINTS

The formulations of our products are constantly reviewed by our R&D teams to integrate the new legislation: REACH, heavy metals, toys standard EN71-3, children care standards.

Since 2009, TRAVYL® has proposed a new reference called “JT”. “JT reference” is a TRAVYL® standard reference with less than 0,1% of phthalates and less than 0,1% of bisphenol A.

TRAVYL® based on its experience and its laboratory anticipates the demands of its customers by developing flexible calendared film meeting the strictest environmental criteria.

Since 2009 TRAVYL® has offered a range of AGROVYL WOOD® products containing vegetable fibers in its formulation. This product is recyclable.

REGULAR INVESTMENT IN ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD

Many investments have been made for 3 years in order to conserve resources:

- Water: annual consumption was reduced by 60 times by installing a cooling system in closed circuit.

- Energy: through better planning of our productions, a waste reduction program was set up.

- Packaging: since 2008 we have reduced our DIBs by almost 50% by optimizing packaging with our suppliers (removal of hood under the pallets of raw materials) but also by developing or reusing the pallets of our suppliers.

In addition, a recycling collection was introduced to limit our impact on the environment. Even the office paper is reused as a draft paper.
